North Texas punt returner Keegan Brewer pulled off what might need been the pretend of the year so far of the season Saturday against Arkansas.
Up 7-Zero within the first quarter, the Mean Green compelled Arkansas to punt.
Brewer, clearly a savvy particular groups player, stood on the 10-yard line and waited for the punt. He caught the ball and stood there understanding he had saved the ball from taking a bounce in favor of the Razorbacks that might have pinned North Texas deep in its personal territory.
The problem for Arkansas is the play did not finish there. Brewer could have caught the ball nonchalantly, however he by no means signaled for a good catch. Two Arkansas gunners watched Brewer catch the ball after which began strolling away. Brewer then took a few steps and took off down the sideline and headed straight to the tip zone.
It’s a play that must be seen to be believed.
