TCN proclaims deliberate energy outage in Lagos, Ogun


The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has introduced a deliberate energy outage in some components of Lagos and Ogun States on Jan. 13 and Jan. 15, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Ms Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager, Public Affairs Unit, TCN, in an announcement mentioned the outage was on account of annual preventive upkeep scheduled to happen on the Ikeja-West 330/132Kv Transmission Sub-Region in Lagos.

According to Mbah, there will probably be an interruption of electrical energy provide to shoppers receiving provide inside its Lagos community particularly in components of Alimosho, Ejigbo and Agbara, in Lagos and Ogun States respectively.

“The interruption will probably be on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and Tuesday, Jan. 15 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

“The deliberate outage will allow TCN engineers from Ikeja-West Transmission Sub-Region to hold out annual preventive upkeep work on some gear for improved electrical energy provide to shoppers.

“TCN sincerely regrets inconveniences that may be attributable to the interruption and guarantees to proceed upgrading and sustaining its gear to serve Nigerians higher,” she mentioned.
