Swimmer Killed in Cape Cod

A 26-year previous man was tragically killed by what consultants imagine is the first deadly shark assault in Massachusetts in additional than 80 years.
The unidentified swimmer was reportedly within the water off of Cape Cod’s Newcomb Hollow Beach when he was attacked round midday. The man was given first help and CPR, however died from his accidents at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Witnesses say the man was boogie boarding with a good friend when the shark aggressively attacked. The man’s good friend needed to drag him to shore.
The assault was the second within the space this season. A 61-year-old man was severely injured on August 15 after fighting off a shark about four miles away from Saturday’s assault. He’s nonetheless recovering from his puncture wounds in a Boston hospital.
The final shark assault within the state to end in a death before this occurred in 1936. However, shark sightings across the Cape have reportedly been extra frequent this year, resulting in a number of seaside closings.
