Oxford Dictionaries’ crowns ‘poisonous’ as its 2018 phrase of the year / Boing Boing


Collins Dictionary named “single-use” as their 2018 phrase of the year and now Oxford Dictionaries’ has dubbed “toxic” as theirs. They file that the phrase used to be regarded up 45% extra occasions on their website over the past year, having “been used in an array of contexts, both in its literal and more metaphorical senses.”
