The federal authorities has accredited visa payment waiver for accredited observers and screens of the nation’s upcoming common elections.
The Comptroller-Normal Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, introduced this in a press release in Abuja on Wednesday.
He mentioned the waiver was a sequel to the re-scheduling of the overall elections for presidential and Nationwide Meeting elections from February 16 to 23 and governorship and Home of Meeting elections from March 2 to 9.
The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) gave logistics and operational issues as causes for suspending the polls.
Mr Babandede mentioned that waiver was in consideration of the plight of accredited observers and screens who had been caught-up by the re-scheduled elections.
He urged all affected people and organisations wishing to increase their keep or journey again to their nations and return for the following elections to go to NIS Visa Desk at INEC Headquarters.
