Officers had been referred to as at 11.03am this morning to a report of a theft at a financial institution on Vauxhall Bridge Street. A person reportedly entered Barclays financial institution, armed with a firearm and demanded money. A member of workers is claimed to have handed over a sum of cash.
The suspect is reported to have fled the scene.
No arrests have been made.
The Metropolitan Police stated: “We’re investigating a theft at 11am on 21 Feb at a financial institution in Vauxhall Bridge Street, SW1.
“A male suspect with a firearm made off with a sum of cash. No accidents. No arrest but. Flying Squad officers are on the case.”
