Italy boss Roberto Mancini and told Jorginho that he has can guide the youth players at Chelsea with the experience that he has developed over his career.
The 27-year-old has had a bit of a mixed start to life at the Blues, with the Italy international having started every match, apart from one, in the Premier League so far.
After a blistering beginning when the Blues went 18 games unbeaten, Jorginho was the main component to their success and really set the tone for the whole squad.
However, some mixed performances have not gone down well with the Chelsea fan base and he has come under some criticism from some supporters.
Juventus youngster Moise Kean is set to play for Italy at just 19 and Mancini believes that Jorginho can be a mentor for him for not just him, but the other youngsters in the national team and at Chelsea.
The Blues have a plethora of young talent throughout their squad and academy and that could be a real asset for them in the future.
“I think he [Kean] is a predestined, he can become an important player for the national team,” Mancini said .
“I’ve picked up many young players that can have a future with the national team.
“Of course, we also need expert footballers who can guide the youths. Players like Bonucci, Chiellini, Jorginho and Verratti can really help them.”
