International Quad Series: England lose 48-45 to South Africa in London

Commonwealth Games champions England lost 48-45 to South Africa of their second Quad Series match at London’s Copper Box Arena.

The Roses led early on however South Africa dominated the second and third quarters.

England edged forward again within the fourth interval however South Africa, ranked fifth on the planet, clung on for victory.

“We’ve obtained to sharpen up, we have to be extra scientific,” stated England head coach Tracey Neville.

“We had alternatives – it is fairly disappointing to not push on when we have to take them.

“They just appeared to change off at instances and that could be a little disappointing.”
