Bauchi gov will get commendation for funding on training

BauchiBAUCHI State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has been applauded by a civil society group generally known as ‘ ‘Congress of Nigerian Eligible Voters’ (CONEV) for what it described as his varied intervention applications’ within the training sector of state since coming to energy in 2015.

The commendation was made by the group throughout a solidarity rally in assist of the Governor held on the Government House, Bauchi.

While talking in the course of the rally, chief of the Congress, Comrade John Ngene Offia mentioned teaching programs launched by the Governor such as the faculties renovation, employment of extra certified academics, provision of free feeding for major pupils, provision of motorbikes to training supervisors within the state in addition to the development of residential quarters for the academics would inspire the teaching employees and revamp the sector.

“We are aware that the free education introduced by your administration is saving parents of about N2 billion annually. Likewise, the removal of feeding fees and levies have helped parents to enrol more children in the schools,” he added.

Ngene Offia added that, “It is in the light of the above enumerated achievements by His Excellency, the Governor, that all these people here today, have come to make the following silent points that His Excellency has by the assessment of Nigerian Eligible Voters whom for their sake you are working day and night to ensure a secured future for them, have today declared that you have performed creditably well and consequently found you fit for a second tenure as the Executive Governor of Bauchi State come 2019”.

While responding on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammad Nadada Umar expressed appreciation to them for the solidarity promising that the government would proceed to implement applications that will contact the lives of residents.

He urged them to remain law-abiding residents and go about their campaigns peacefully with out insulting anybody or group within the state just as he appealed to them to coach their members on the necessity to have their Permanent Voters Cards to allow them to vote in the course of the normal elections.
