Austria, Germany agree on must keep away from onerous Brexit – Kurz


BERLIN (Reuters) – Austria and Germany agree that every part potential have to be executed to keep away from Britain leaving the European Union with out a commerce deal, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz mentioned on Sunday before a gathering with Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Kurz and Merkel mentioned they had been assembly to debate a variety of points, including Britain’s deliberate departure from the bloc in 2019, immigration and efforts to bolster EU border security forward of a casual summit of EU leaders in Salzburg subsequent week.

“We have the same view that we must do all we can to avoid a hard Brexit,” Kurz mentioned in a press release before the assembly.
