Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State says avenue buying and selling will quickly grow to be an offence within the state following an accident in Iworoko Ekiti that claimed 12 lives. He mentioned government could be compelled to re-introduce some outdated legal guidelines and former preparations to deal with the difficulty. Fayemi mentioned the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency can be strengthened to implement the road buying and selling legal guidelines.

He mentioned market stalls had been constructed in numerous local government areas to discourage avenue buying and selling including that government would now speed up completion of these markets and construct new ones to keep away from additional tragedies. Fayemi urged the group leaders and households of the victims to remain calm whilst “we collectively mourn the death of our beloved ones within the unlucky incident.
