‘Game of Thrones’ fans have a wild idea about why Bran is not within the new teaser

There are positively spoilers right here. Don’t say we did not warn you.

When the nice folks at HBO throw us a Game of Thrones-associated bone, you may guess that we’ll choose incessantly at mentioned bone till all attainable clues have been extracted.

HBO just dropped a new teaser trailer for the final season of the present, a 90-second scene that includes Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, and Arya Stark strolling within the crypts of Winterfell, the place they arrive face-to-face with statues of themselves.

But fans are noticing that one of many Stark youngsters isn’t there, and so they have a fairly fascinating idea as to why. The youngest residing Stark inheritor Bran is nowhere to be seen… or is he?

In the teaser, as Jon, Arya, and Sansa are staring on the statues, one thing makes them flip round. Something actually chilly, making even the feather — initially positioned within the hand of Lyanna Stark by Robert Baratheon within the pilot episode — flip frosty.

Fans at the moment are speculating that the chilly one thing is, in reality, Bran. Bran because the Night King, that’s.

The idea of Bran being the Night King is a giant, mind-boggling ordeal of time-travelling and warging — explained in depth here — however that is the gist: Bran, being each a greenseer and a warg, does a complete lot of time-travelling and meddling to save lots of the human race, and finally ends up going all the way in which again to the second the place the Children of the Forest create the Night King — the place he finally will get caught within the body of the Night King, due to the entire ink being dry idea (the Three Eyed Raven beforehand instructed Bran, “The previous is already written. The ink is dry,” that means that the previous is mounted).

So when the crypt fills with icy mist within the teaser, and Jon and Arya each draw their swords? That’s just their pricey little brother arriving on the scene. But it is just one idea…

Elsewhere in Internetsville, fans have been making the argument that since Bran is now the Three-Eyed Raven, he isn’t even actually human anymore, therefore no actual human form to make a statue off. Also, promos for the present are usually not considered canon — a trailer for a previous season, for instance, confirmed faces of still-alive characters displayed within the Hall of Faces.

Oh nicely, what do we all know? Surely fans will proceed to take a position till the tension is lastly launched on April 14th.

Where are the statues of Robb and Rickon, BTW?
