FG calls on PDP to show allegations of diversion of govt funds for campaigns

The minister of data and tradition, Lai Mohammed has referred to as on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to show its allegation that government funds are getting used to sponsor President Buhari’s campaign.

Mohammed stated this in Ilorin, Kwara state on Friday, January 11, 2019.

According to Vanguard, the minister stated that the achievements of Buhari’s administration has startled the PDP.

 He stated ‘’In publicising the actions and achievements of the federal government, the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture is barely finishing up its statutory position. Long before the elections, the Ministry has used numerous platforms, including Town Hall Meetings, to showcase the actions and achievements of the Administration.

 ‘’We perceive that the PDP and the Atiku Campaign Organization have been rattled by the achievements in addition to the effectiveness of the campaign to showcase them. We are sorry we are able to’t help them.”

Buhari makes pledge

You will recall that the President, on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, pledged that he won’t authorise the usage of any money from the treasury for his re-election campaign. 

He additionally reiterated his dedication to eradicate corruption in campaign financing within the nation.
